During the conference, a show communicated sustainability as an ongoing process in the destination: actors brought in boxes with big letters, which put together made up the words "Working towards social responsibility and sustainability". But beyond the animation, the conference included specific steps. Some examples:

- Four training sessions on sustainability were organised, with an attendance of 15% of the total.

- A reforestation project was organized in a park on the outskirts of the city. 23 people participated, after paying a participation fee of 23 euros.

- 70% of the food served was local or organic.

- 70% of the waste generated by the conference was recycled. - About 75% of suppliers that were used were local.

- Spotme was used for onside communication and networking, reducing paper consumption.

- The bags of the delegates were of cloth, just like the lanyards. - There were no gifts in the rooms.

- The pens were made of paper. - The conference program was concentrated and fitted on a folded leaf.

- The coaches met the Euro 4 and Euro 5 standards, thereby reducing its emissions to 60%.

- Water, coffee, milk, tea... were not served in individual wrappers but in bulk or fountains. Each point of delivery was also its recycling station.

- The venue (Palacio de Congresos y Ferias de Málaga) has its own environmental policies, including a photovoltaic roof to generate 100kWh. It has ISO14001 certification. It also uses efficient bulbs and LEDs to reduce their consumption.

- No heating was used during assembly and disassembly.

- The heating in hotels was limited to 23 ºC

- The hotels also received a briefing on sustainability.
