The hotel chain W Hotels Worldwide held last weekend the official presentation of W Barcelona, known popularly as “hotel vela” (the sail hotel, based on the curve shape of the building located just on the seashore) and open since October 2009. The W Premiere was an event that brought together fashion, design, architecture, music and cuisine.
Among the acts that took place during the long Première, we could highlight a private party at the Extreme Wow Suite located on the 25th floor of the hotel, and a party at Eclipse, located on the top floor, attended by Ricardo Bofill (both father and son), designer and illustrator Jordi Labanda, model Hasdrubal Ametller, or actors like Maxi Iglesias Blanca Suárez, Juana Acosta or Angy Cepeda.
The W hotel has 473 rooms including 67 suites, plus 2,100 square meters of space available to the public, which can accommodate from small meetings to large conventions. The Great Room consists of one thousand square meters overlooking the Mediterranean.
