Former general manager of De Boer Spain, Pascal Jorritsma is Dutch, and recently founded the agency Iventions. Then came the World cup with a Holland-Spain final. With little time but a good sense of opportunity, he decided this was “a unique chance to put Iventions quickly on the map of events”.
He organised an event which brought together 1.200 Dutchies in Barcelona’s Poble Español, renamed temporarily to Bavaria Orange Plaza, and advertised this as the largest concentration of Orange fans in Spain.
This logically attracted sponsors like Dutch beer brewer Bavaria and Dutch airline company Transavia. It also attracted 5 TV stations, 4 radio stations and many writing press as all the media wanted to be at the Dutch party in case the Dutch would win (luckily, says eventoplus editing team, they didn’t…).
Regardless the sportive defeat, the event was a success, with a good moment of orange fever, and a lot of buzz. Smart start!
