Actividades: For your next incentive, why not surprise your participants with a treat to a movie, and even better, in an unexpected venue? Just simply give them the address, organise them in groups and give them a car, preferibly a cabriolet, for a more authentic experience. The rest will come as they arrive to the venue… The selection of the movie depends on the objectives of the event and the interest of the group. Invitations If it is about going to the movies, you will need a ticket. Send the participants a movie ticket with an old classic 70’s design, and include on the ticket or separately, information and clues where and how to get to the event. You can also include a keychain with a image making reference to the movie. Along the way, they can pick up what they will need for the movie.: popcorns, a typical can with a roll of film, items to collect and with clues for the next stops. Generate curiosity about the event by not giving out all the information at one time, such as what movie will be screen, where the venue is (the team will go driving and find out where they have to go), and get the participants excited. The setting Get an unusual venue: a large workshop, a hangar, an open warehouse or a closed street that can fit the cars, or simply an open field… The key is to have a projection screen large enough to give the feeling of being in the movies. The arrival Get all the teams to meet at one starting point. Equip them with a car, map and necessary clues to get to the next checkpoint. Once they arrive, make sure they feel welcomed! Get ushers to guide them on where they can park the cars for the movie. Let the show begin! The drive-in movie can be accompanied by other activities to make the experience authentic: waiters and waiteres in pastel-coloured uniforms and roller skates, serving popcorns and snacks. Set up hot dogs carts and candy floss stands. You can play music such as soundtracks of Grease, songs of Cliff Richard and motown, etc., to spark up the atmosphere. Organise activities The event does not need to end with just the screening of the movie. Organise other teambuilding activities, for example, on the themes of movies, maximising the use of the venue and the audiovisual equipment. Groups can make their own short film or simply a quiz on a few cuts of different movies. If not, simply a party to let the night slip by with a disco-all-night-long under the stars, or their only private movie-party! Weather forecast If the event is in an open field, make sure you have a tent setup in case of rain. You can also use it for cocktails after the movie or an area for those who do not want to stay in the car. Decide if the movie screening continues in case of rain… it is not bad as an idea to have the rain outside and the team altogether in the car enjoying the movie. An incentive or teambuilding that will definitely be hard to forget!
