Actividades: The ideal museum There are museums for almost all topics … up to penknives collections from different time period! And with different ambiences and decorations: modern, scientific, futuristic, historical … museums are brilliant for thematic events. If your event is about cinema, look for a film museum. If it is for a textile company, why not a textile museum? If the message to communicate is modernity and design, a contemporary art museum. If you are looking to surprise, how about a museum about matches? Exclusivity Few museums close their doors to the public and rent their venues in exclusivity during their normal opening hours. You can either rent it on the day that it is closed or when there are renovation work, just rent some of the rooms available. If not, you will have to work around the limited time that you have between the closing time to the time of your event for the setup and teardown since majority of the museums cannot be closed in exclusivity for your event during schedules opened to the public. Think of simple decoration, easy to assemble pieces … Surprise with the catering Complement the event at the museum with creative food: edible painting, favourite food of artists whose work is on display (this will require some research) … If the museum has rooms with decoration from different time periods, you can serve food (and drinks) of these periods. It can also be applied by countries. Another consideration: normally, the museums do not have an area specific for catering, so you will have to create one for the caterer. Experimenting Events in which the guest participates, interacts and lives through experiences are the trend. In museums, this is true too. Organize activities around the venue’s theme: paint a drawing, a photography contest, recreate an art piece on exhibition, make a display in chocolate, a "trivial pursuit” of the visit, a gymkhana … Animation The program can include a private tour just for your group guided by the museum’s Director, or even better, the creator of the works on exhibition. An actor disguised as the Picasso or Dalí... or some well-known personality related to the theme of the event. Your guests will definitely feel special.
