Actividades: The concept It consists in having very short presentations (no more than two minutes), followed by interaction with the audience. The audiovisual component is essential because it helps summarize, visualise and illustrate… brief and effective. There are a few examples: Pecha Kucha It is the Japanese equivalent of the Spanish “cháchara” and the English chit-chat. It is an event which combines showcase and networking event among artists. It consists of two stages: artists present their work on 20 slides of 20 seconds each (just over 6 minutes per presentation). And once they know the work of others, the second part comes, the interaction between them. An event that started in Japan and now is held in other cities. Interesting The idea behind Interesting is simple: a day on which people with common interests and who post comments on a blog meet face to face and share knowledge. The organisers only ask the presentations to be brief: from 3 to 20 minutes. This year’s event is held in Amsterdam. The topics are varied: the power of visual communication, how to turn your blog in a company media, facing fears, or how to make organic chocolate. Open Space Sessions especially aimed at networking and co-creation: if a participant has a doubt, probably others in the same meeting can help him: the knowledge and the experience are in the room! Starting from this idea, anyone can ask a question and others close to him will help him solve his doubt in an informal discussion group. Learning Lab Meeting Support Institute organises this event: in a room, participants see theoretical 1 minute presentations followed by practical demonstrations, always following the same theme: tools and/or services for meetings. Then the assistant feels free to go to the product demonstration table that he prefers. An important detail: sales are not allowed, just a brochure and name cards are available.
