Get ready for lots of action: During the day: organise beach activities so that all present can have fun and why not, some team building at the same time? Apart from beach volleyball and beach Frisbee, here are some other games that require minimum set up: Beach Bowling: Make 10 pins by filling a cup with moist sand (add water if the sand is too dry to hold a shape). Carefully turn the cup over and lift it off. Create the pins in a triangle with one pin in front, two pins in the next row, three in the next, and four in the back row. Draw a line in the sand about 6 or 8 feet from the pins. Take turns standing behind the line and rolling a softball or other small ball toward the pins to knock them over. Each player gets to roll the ball twice. Count how many pins you knock over, set them up again and keep score in the sand. Sand Tic-Tac-Toe: Make a nine-square grid in the sand and draw the X's and O's with driftwood. If you have enough people, make teams and ask human markers to sit in the squares. Scavenger Hunt: To give this a seaside flavour, each player can scavenge a beach-related list of items to look for. A good way to discover the beach and what's there! Darts: Draw a dartboard with six concentric circles and give each ring a point value. Each player should choose three markers that look the same (three clamshells, three pieces of green sea glass and so on). Take turns tossing the markers at the dartboard and keep score in the sand During the event: relax and feel the sea breeze and the colours of the sunset. Set up a cocktail bar and serve chilled cocktails, with live or piped-in music soft and tranquil. Pump up the atmosphere later in the night with a DJ and dance. While dancing the night away, introduce some activities. The Limbo Rock: A pole of 2 metres long, decorated and with music in the background, get the crowd to go under the pole without any part of their bodies touching the pole. 2 persons will be holding the pole to lower the height and to determine how low people should go under the pole! Consejos: - Advice your guests to dress light, if it is a day event or something appropriate for the sea breeze for the evening party. - Most beaches are public property, make sure you get proper paperwork done and logistical arrangement to ensure that you can have the spot for your party. - Hire some security personnel as the beach is an open space, you do not want any unwelcome intruders - During the day, have lots of cold water available, with the heat of the sun, you want to avoid anyone suffering from dehydration. - Lastly, as the beach is a gift from nature, we have the responsibility to conserve it and keep it clean. Be aware of what you do, remind your guests too!
Otro: Decoration Let the sea and the beach be your natural setting. Set up a bar and an area for serving food. Dress them up with palm leaves and fire torches. Let the smiles of the service staff, dressed in beachwear, sarongs and sandals greets you and serve you with chilled cocktails. And the delicious smell of grilled seafood sets the menu for the evening. Why not, a little campfire to set the scene - where performances (if any) and speeches can be made around it.
