Outdoor Teambuilding Games & Activities

Actividades: The Mascot Show This can be the first game to be played where teams are to dress up their mascots. They can use props that are provided or to use their imagination to use what they can find on the spot. Props: Per team: Coloured crepe paper (these are soft paper), black trash bags (for the low-budget), 1 pair of shoes, markers, face paint, coloured T-shirt according to team colour, and more... It's up t o you... But allow up to 9 items for the dress up but make sure all teams have the same type of items. How to Play: Allow up to 10 persons per team. Line up the team in a straight line. The person that will be dressed up in the mascot costume is at the finishing line. Each team member has a prop with him and he will need to run to the other end to dress up the mascot. Until he put the props on the person and runs back to the starting line, the next person can then follow. When the last person puts on the prop on the person, races back to the staring line, the team wins. Then, organise a little fashion show with music, for each mascot to strut and show off. Bonus points can be awarded for this "catwalk" show! Joker This can be made like a huge board bearing the name of the team. Encourage each time to make their own. For the game that the team is confident of winning, they can use the Joker which will double their points when they win. It can only be used once. This can be used to substitute the Mascot Show. Team Cheering Competition This is the time to scream and shout! Cheer the team on with your very own team cheers and cheerleaders! Teams will create their own cheers and choreograph their steps for a dynamic and powerful rah-rah! Award points for extra effort in the attire and props like pom-poms and even having a mascot! (You can easily create or rent a mascot costume). Push Ball Props: 1 huge inflated ball of diameter 1.5m. How to Play: This is a game that can have up to 20 players per team. Played with 2 teams at one time, with the huge inflated ball, the team needs to toss and push the ball into the "goal" area of the other team. Definitely a game of team coordination and some arm power... Lift Me Up - Build a stretcher Props: 2 bamboo poles of 1.5m each. 6 ropes of 1 m long each. 1 canvas cloth of 2.5m(L) x 0.5m (W) with 3 punched holes on each side of the cloth. How to play: 10 players per team. The teams are lined up in rows with the props on the ground. On the other side of the line, there is 1 player lying down about 8m away. At the blow of the whistle, the players are to take their turn to run to the other side of the line where the player is lying down. Until all the props have arrived to the player lying down, the other players can then start building a stretcher by tying the canvas cloth to the poles through the punched holes, put the player lying down onto the stretcher and run back to finishing line. The team that reaches the finish line first wins. Make me beautiful An ultimate test of creativity, showmanship and presentation skills... Props: A pair of ear rings, a bikini top, a pair of long pants, lip stick, hair band, eye liner, hair gel, necklace and a bangle... You can use your imagination to use other props for dressing up. How to play: 11 players per team. All teams are given a set of props. One member will be at the end point to be dressed up. Team members will clear a series of obstacles and collect one prop at a time. When the completion of the dressing up is completed, the captain will present their "model". Points will be awarded for creative use of props and presentation. Obstacle Course This is a challenge of your team co-ordination with speed. Teams are always lined up in a straight row with a finishing line on the other end (allow a distance of 10-15m). How to Play: Allow up to 10 persons per team. Teams can race each other clearing different obstacles: hopping through rubber tyres, walking with the 8-person skis, crawling under tunnels, jumping over a 1m wall... The team with the last team player who reaches the finishing line first wins. You may need to work with an agency to rent some of these props or even to custom make some of them just for your teams. Row your Raft If the venue is by the beach, get the teams to build a raft with the whole team on it! Props: For each team, 4 wooden planks of 1.5m (L) x 0.25m(W), 18 ropes of 1m long and 4 rubber tyres, 4 wooden oars, 8 life jackets and 1 colour flag on a 0.5m pole. How to Play: 8 persons per team (4 males, 4 females)The team will have to build a life raft and once the colour flag of the team is planted on the raft, the team needs to bring the raft to the water and row it out for 6m and then back to shore, with the entire team on it! The winner will be the team that comes back to shore first and with the raft still intact! Penalty points go to teams if their raft collapse. Make sure all team members put on their life jackets before sailing out. You can also organise water sports competition like canoeing, surf board rowing competition (row a surf board instead of a raft or boat)... The Pinnacle of Excellence This is a race against time, speed and agility. How to play: 16 players per team. The team will form their Pinnacle in the shortest time. A the sound of the horn (to indicate the start), all participants needs to clear a series of obstacles along the lane to collect a colour flag (of their team colour), and a banner which are placed at the other side of the lane. Players will go one at a time. Upon reaching the other side of the lane, the second player can then begin. The team can decide which are the members to collect the flag and the banner on the other side of the lane. When all the members have returned back to the starting point, the team will form 2 human pyramid in 3 tiers (4 x 3 x 1), with the colour flag and the banner on the top of each pyramid. The chain of events Props: A wall (this can be constructed but make sure that it is sturdy and steady), 2 surf boards and 2 paddles per team, 1 pair of sledge shoes per team. How to play: 20 participants Teams will engage in a relay of different activities, competing against each other. Each team is divided into 3 sub-teams for 3 different activities. First activity: The Wall.(for 9 members). Team needs to climb over this 3m high wall. Upon completion of all 9 members, the second activity can begin. Second activity: Surf boards paddling (for 6 members) Team members need to put on their life vests, sit onto the surf boards and paddle out to the waters. Upon reaching the marker in the water, they will have to paddle back to shore. Each team will have 2 boards and 4 paddles, where each board will have 3 members on the board at the same time. Upon completion, the third activity can begin. Third activity: Sledge shoes (5 members). 5 members will put on a pair of long sledge shoes and walk back to the starting point. The first member will be walking backwards, facing the other team members.
