Actividades: Activities A launch must capture the attention of the audience and communicate your key messages with impact. But at the same time, it needs to give a memorable experience of your company and of the product or service that you are launching. Hire groups of talents acting as the press, paparazzi... to "harass" the arriving guests with questions, camera flashlights, treating them like the stars coming for the premiere... Pack a crowd cheering at the entrance of the venue. Serve popcorns and chips during the cocktail by elegantly dressed waiters... But compensate with a full cocktail with hors d'oeuvres after the launch so that you guests do not go away hungry. Depending on what your company's product or service is, you can use the products or elements that transmit the characteristics of product or service as decoration. This gives your guests a direct contact with your company. To animate the event while guests are arriving or waiting for the launch moment, contract a group to provide "live" music for entertainment. Choose a type of music that is related to the web page: e.g. if your web page has an innovative presentation, find a group that make music with improvised instruments, like plastic coca-cola bottles, wooden sticks... For a web page with an international feature, why not a group that plays World Music? Presenting an elegant and prestigious web page, why not an opera performance or a classical quartet? The Invitation Design the invitation like a movie ticket. Be careful not to reveal anything about your web page to maintain the element of surprise. You can, however, use some design elements of the web page (like colours, logo...) for visual identity and consistency for the event. During the Launch Prepare your web page in an animated format, e.g. Flash. During the moment of the launch, stop all activities (like servicing of cocktails) and turn off the lights. On the big screen, project the animated presentation complimented by smoke and light effects. If there are some special features on the web page that needs explanation, hire a presenter to explain it after the presentation. Keep this explanation short as this is to introduce your web page. After the Launch Now that the official launch moment is over, guests are encouraged to get their hands-on experience with your web page. While they are still enjoying the cocktails and the hors d'oeuvres, have monitors set up where guests can discover your web page in details. If possible, connect them to the Internet and if not, prepare the web pages in HTML format where guests can navigate and explore it at their own pace. This can also avoid any connection problems to the Internet. A souvenir of your web page You can give your guests as a take-away gift, your web page pressed in CD-ROM. This allows them to see your web page whenever they want without having to connect to the Internet. Today, CD-ROM comes in different shapes and sizes. Make them different and a novelty to owe one! To motivate your guests to use the CD-ROM after the event, include a contest or a quiz about your company or the product (make them interesting and original), and the chance to win an attractive prize! In your web page, you can also include in your section, a "Who we are" a message board where your guests and clients can post their messages of best wishes and congratulations and to see the photos of the event.
