Actividades: Spa Start the year with a revitalizing spa session. Bring your team to a spa and treat them with a spa package to revitalise and re-energise themselves so that they would be in shape to face the new challenges of the year. You can mix this treat with a working session or meeting (with meetings in the morning and spa treatment in the afternoon, all in the same resort or hotel with spa facilitites). You can even give a gift with incense, massage oil and essence, tea leaves, etc. to compliment the session at the end of the event. Go green: plant-a-tree Why not set the mood right in caring for the environment this year. This can be a special campaign within the company to be more environment-friendly, especially during these times where people are getting more conscious and aware about environment issues. Encourage recycling and introduce ways to reduce paper wastage, for example. Organise a plant-a-tree event in the company premises or work with the city council to see where you can organise such an event. It would be a day out for your staff for a good cause. At the end of the year, you can show the results of the efforts and be proud about it as a company. Culinary activities: cocktail mixing, cooking The best way to win one’s heart is through the stomach. Organise culinary activities to whip up an appetite and generate team spirit at the same time. While learning a new skill, the team can enjoy the fruit of their labour at the end of these sessions: trying out new dishes prepared during the course. A great way to build "esprit de corps" into play. You can plan with the culinary school or a private chef to come out with a special theme for the course, be it motivational or just a positive slogan, to name the cocktails or menu according to the theme. It won’t be just eat, drink and that’s all folks! But there will be at least a message that the team can bring with them at the end of the course. Outdoor activities: extreme sports Get the adrenaline pumping if your team is up to! Extreme sports are definitely a way to push oneself to the limit and a great way to build teamwork too. It also offers a once-in-a-lifetime chance for many to see how far they can go with themselves. From white water rafting to bungee jumping or parachuting, there is a wide selection of activities that you can choose from. (See some examples in our special incentives article) Awards Use these to show appreciation to those employees with outstanding performance and to set the example and pace to start the new year. Awards needs to be communicated beforehand so that the teams are aware of the objectives, what is the process to winning the awards and what are the rewards. A trophy may seems like a appropriate gift but if budget allows, top it up with some other compensation such as gifts, trips, cash, etc.
