The 2011 Event Production Show, taking place on 2nd and 3rd February at London Olympia, brings together the live event sector’s suppliers from the worlds of concerts, festivals and sports events. The show comes ahead of the UK’s ‘Decade of Events’, including the London 2012 Olympics, Cultural Olympiad, Diamond Jubilee, Royal Wedding and 2014 Commonwealth Games.
The educational programme will feature Rock concert promoter Harvey Goldsmith CBE (who has promoted Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones and Queen), John Probyn (COO of Live Nation), Wayne Hemingway CBE co-founder of Red or Dead and the man behind the successful Vintage at Goodwood, a summer event celebrating British music and fashion, and Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts team.
The Technology Zone will feature technological innovations which will shape the trends of the coming years. Live at the Grand will be the centre for entertainment during the show, providing a platform for performance groups. The show will also feature a networking centre called the Bamboo Bar, with a structure made from recyclable and sustainable materials.
