Three intensive days of business workshop (October 6th – 8th 2024) in Valencia complete with buyer-supplier meetings, unique activities and gastronomy experiences that showcased the city, facilitated connections and created serendipity moments in dynamic environments. Buyers from 18 nationalities had first-hand information from Spanish suppliers on what they can do for their next meetings in Spain.
Valencia has been a strong MICE destination for some time now. The time has come to discover the light and the places in Valencia that inspired Sorolla while you enjoy, why not, a special menu inspired 100% by his work and created this centenary year of his death.
Its commitment to sustainability. It has already earned him several awards, such as the designation as Green Capital by the European Commission for 2024. In addition to the creation and protection of green spaces such as the Albufera Natural Park, the periurban orchard and the Turia Garden (ideal places for organising events and outdoor activities), it has also taken initiatives for sustainable mobility and the recovery of public spaces for pedestrians.
Bike friendly. Cycling is a healthy and sustainable option for exploring Valencia and its surroundings. It is now easier than ever thanks to the extensive network of bike lanes and the construction of a new green ring around the city.
Very tech. The whole Marina area is progressing with entrepreneurship and is becoming more and more open to events. Many of the warehouses that were built there in 2007 for the America’s Cup now function as offices and venues for events with that techie, transgressive and “open space” air that the companies that occupy them give them. This is the case of the Biohub and Zeus spaces.
Its potential in craftsmanship and design. The artistic history of Fallas goes beyond this, and its added value in craftsmanship, design and decoration stands out at events. The network of artisans provides their services for events: potters, leather workers, glaziers, florists and ceramists. There are many new venues in Valencia related to this concept: in the centre, for example, the loom of Mikel Martí (an old farmhouse brought to the contemporary) and on the outskirts some others such as Villa Indiano or El Tancat de l’Albufera.
Nautical activities and nature all year round. With more than one million m2, the Valencia Marina is the largest in Europe, one of the most modern and a dynamic space in which to organise an event (in Veles e Vents, for example) or any activity related to the nautical world: diving, rowing, kayaking, canoeing, water skiing, scuba diving, sailing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, jet skiing… For events, sea excursions, catamaran trips or sailing boat teambuldings are very popular. One of the advantages of Valencia is its pleasant climate all year round, so don’t panic if in October the attendees want to swim!
For a different experience, take your event to the orchard or to the Albufera Natural Park with the largest lake in Spain! Accessible by metro or 15 minutes by car. Even in the Sierra de la Calderona.
