IBTM World - Fira Barcelona, 18 to 20 November - announces a wave of new exhibitors for this year's event. Among the newcomers joining IBTM World for the first time are West Hollywood, the Cayman Islands and Fiera Milano, as well as the European capitals of Sarajevo and Sofia. Meanwhile, Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, returns after several years of absence, along with VisitScotland and Buenos Aires, which rejoin the fair's global list. Abercrombie & Kent DMC is also making its debut, expanding the international representation of DMCs.

The largest African show in over a decade

This year’s edition will feature the largest African presence at IBTM World in over 10 years, with South Africa, Morocco, Egypt and Rwanda returning with expanded stands. They will be joined by Zimbabwe’s Rainbow Tourism Group and a host of new and returning partners from across the continent. These include Business Class, a new Moroccan DMC; the Uganda Convention Bureau, with 10 partners, returning after a year’s hiatus; and the Tunisia Convention Bureau, also accompanied by 10 partners, marking the country’s first participation in over a decade.

The cruise sector, the new addition that is likely to be the sensation of the show

The 2025 show will also welcome several cruise line exhibitors for the first time, including Norwegian Cruise Line, City Cruises (which offers events on the River Thames) and Century Cruises, which offers river and coastal experiences in China, Japan and Vietnam.

Greater hotel representation

Following its launch in 2024, the IBTM World Hotel Pavilion will see an increased presence of both international chains and boutique groups this year. Wyndham Hotels, Seibu Prince Hotels & Resorts, The Kimberly Hotel and Impulsive Group will make their debut, alongside returning independents such as The Muse New York, Regnum Carya, The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife, Abama and Viceroy at Ombria Algarve.

Innovation in event services

In the technology and event services sector, Newhotel Software, vFairs and Cvent are joining the list of exhibitors for the first time, highlighting the sector’s ongoing digital evolution. MESA (Meetings & Events Support Association) will also return with a significantly expanded stand, doubling the number of participating suppliers compared to last year.

Claudia Hall, Director of IBTM World: “We are delighted to see the continued growth and diversification of our exhibitor community. The addition of new destinations, hotel brands and event service providers, together with the largest African presence in over a decade, highlights the strength and global reach of our industry. IBTM World 2025 is shaping up to be one of our most dynamic editions to date, and we look forward to bringing the world together again in Barcelona.”
