Professional events are no longer mere scheduled meetings, but have become real strategic drivers for different sectors. An example of this dynamism was the fifth edition of Sports & Events Europe 2026, held in Seville on March 23, 24 and 25. This event brought together international sports tourism players with a common goal: to generate business that will drive a sector on the rise. With attendance figures exceeding 650 people, 254 supplier companies and 47 countries represented, the true essence of the event resided in the quality of its more than 7,000 pre-concerted 1to1 meetings, a constant flow of work that was enhanced by the experiential offer. Below, we tell you all about the b2b meeting of the sporting events sector.

The event kicked off on Monday 23rd, a day in which Seville welcomed the attendees with that spring weather so emblematic of the capital of Seville. Our first stop was the Plaza de España, where we were able to walk in the style of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé; a movie set that served as a starting point to discover the city. Divided into groups and accompanied by guides, we toured the historic center exploring corners such as the Santa Cruz neighborhood or the Avenida de la Constitución, to culminate the welcome on the terrace “El 29” of Abades.

After this first contact, the activity began early on Tuesday 25. With no time to lose, and after the presentation of sponsors and collaborators, the 1to1 meetings began at the Seville International Convention Center (SICC). These meetings resulted in numerous agreements and synergies; in addition, during the coffee break, the traditional emblems were awarded to the All-Stars, recognizing the suppliers and agencies that have been part of the last four editions.

After the workday, it was time to disconnect. To do so, there was nothing better than enjoying the sports and cultural offerings in Seville: from canoeing on the Guadalquivir River at the High Performance Center to golf and paddle tennis sessions at La Cartuja. There was also room for soccer with a tour of the Sevilla FC stadium, a running session by the river or cultural visits to the Cathedral and the Alcázar organized by Turismo de Sevilla.

As evening fell, it was time to get ready for the big evening. At 8:00 pm, the Rosabus buses took the guests to Hacienda la Soledad, where a pink sunset greeted us. Behind the arch of the venue, a surprise awaited us from above: Umiles deployed its drones to make a visual journey through the history of the Olympic Games, culminating with the name of the event, SPORTS & EVENTS, drawn in the sky. Dinner was served by Catering Robles and the musical finale was provided by The Beer Band Theory.

Almost without realizing it, we reached the last day of work. The professional meetings followed one after the other between announcements of future editions, such as Turkey and America, and performances such as that of freestyler Tacho. All this before revealing the most awaited surprise: Valencia will be the new venue of Sports & Events Europe and the event will be held from March 30 to April 1, 2027.

Sports & Events Europe 2026 in figures

This edition stood out for the intensity of its connections; business was breathed in every corner of the Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento. The data confirms the volume of activity generated: with the app still open until the end of April, there were already more than 7,000 meetings, 8,033 messages sent on the platform, 2,244 interactions in the group chat and 11,441 leads scanned.

Thank you all!

Thanks to the sponsors who made this result possible! The event was supported by Turismo Andaluz as main sponsor and our platinum sponsors, Florida’s Sports Coast, Hotels for Super Bowl 14sb.com, Radisson Hotels and VIP Events Team USA.

In addition, we are grateful for the logistical support of the Seville Convention Bureau and Tourism of Seville and the presence of our partners: Meetmaps, which gave us the application to connect with; Evento Divertido in charge of activation and Eurostar Torre Sevilla and Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento, which were our home throughout the event. An event that we will be able to see and enjoy thanks to the photography and video of Jesús Antón.
