This venue, which brings together flamenco, photography, and mixology, is opening in the heart of the Born, Barcelona’s bohemian neighborhood, next to the famous Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar and just a few meters from the Picasso Museum. It is a small venue that blends into the cultural fabric of the area with an intimate atmosphere, a far cry from large-scale venues.

La Perla del Born features a flamenco stage, a live music venue, an art gallery, and a bar and cocktail lounge. The appeal of this venue, compared to larger venues, is that it offers a more intimate experience and a direct connection between the artists and your group.

The program features two shows. “Born Flamenco” brings together live flamenco guitar, singing, dance, and percussion in a performance whose cast may vary from show to show. This rotation brings a dynamic energy to the show and allows audiences to discover different artistic sensibilities in the interpretation of the flamenco repertoire. Interestingly, the artistic direction is led by dancer and choreographer Jose Manuel Álvarez, who served as Rosalía’s choreographer during her Malamente tour.

Meanwhile, the program “Barcelona Guitar Trio | Tribute to Paco de Lucía” focuses on the flamenco guitar through a production that combines music and dance. The group consists of guitarists Xavier Coll, Alí Arango, and Luis Robisco, along with percussionist Lucas Balbo and flamenco dancer Jose Manuel Álvarez.

The Barcelona Guitar Trio combines its performances at La Perla del Born with those at the Palau de la Música Catalana, a venue closely linked to the project’s history.

The venue also features a bar and a cocktail lounge offering premium products, designed to be part of the experience. Guests can enjoy the evening with wine, cava, homemade sangria, craft beer, and other items on the menu.
