What is ‘NetZero Events’, the international commitment of the MICE industry? What do ChatGPT and artificial intelligence for events mean? Companies still far from defining sustainability targets in MICE
This week, from the 1st to 3rd of December, Grupo eventoplus was invited to participate in the MINDevent, organised by the Wonderful Copenhagen and Visit Denmark. Being the only Spanish present in the event, we share with you exclusively, some key highlights and learnings of the event.

Meeting design and sustainability are two omnipresent elements

EVENTOS

This is not your usual fam trip. The organisers have ensured that they put what they know into what they do. Meeting design – where the environment, content and participation of the attendees in a meeting are key elements to bring in the best ROI. At any site inspection, the presenters will explain how they can help meeting planners apply the concepts of meeting design; so indirectly, you get to pick up tips on how to organise better meetings.

Sustainability is also in the DNA of many products and services – Brain food and the use of fresh local produce, walking or using public transport, energy and waste management of venues, CSR project where meeting planners can participate to save the bee via #beesustain.

Bringing Danish lifestyle into meetings

EVENTOS

The Danish are said to be happy people, making a happy country. So, where did they get all these happiness amidst the cold and dark days in winter during our visit? Bo Krüger of Moving Minds shared that positive emotions are good for meetings and factors in Danish´s lifestyle such as trust, safety, balance, freedom can help affect the happiness of your attendees in your meetings through engagement, having a meaning and providing positive relations to each other.

Engagement and networking via gamification

EVENTOS

Throughout the three days, there were just non-stop visits to venues. But all these visits were made fun and participative that you don´t drag your feet hopping on and off the buses – as we have walked, cycled, took a boat ride as well!

Games and activities were set up to help discover the venue which helped to ensure we remember the messages: seeing the rooms of a hotel vía a cluedo-style murder solving game, a pastry tasting session to awaken the senses, sorting out what are Brain food ingredients while learning about the catering services,…

Getting the best partners

Successful meetings don´t happen alone. It was impressive seeing how the CVB and its members worked so closely among themselves, even though they are also competitors when it comes to winning clients. So, when you have your meetings in Copenhagen, you know you can have the whole city´s support on your side!
