Much more than a trade show
IMEX Frankfurt does not function solely as a commercial showcase. Its value proposition is based on facilitating real and highly qualified business between buyers and suppliers.
In the 2025 edition alone, 67,000 pre-scheduled meetings were held through its matchmaking platform, a figure that reflects the level of professionalization and efficiency that the trade show format has achieved in the MICE segment.
In addition, the profile of the attendees confirms the strategic weight of the meeting. Forty-two percent of the buyers occupy management positions and 21% manage budgets in excess of $10 million. In total, 62% control investments in excess of US$1 million.

The rise of experience as the backbone of networking
One of the trends best exemplified by IMEX Frankfurt is the transformation of traditional networking into more immersive and memorable networking experiences.
For years, the fair has been expanding its programming beyond one-to-one meetings to incorporate experiential activities that foster more organic relationships between professionals. Proposals such as IMEXrun, the networking race that has already become a tradition within the event, SITE NITE or the Gala Dinner demonstrate how the sector is embracing more emotional and less conventional formats to generate community.
This evolution responds to a clear trend within the industry. Networking is no longer understood as a succession of formal meetings, but rather as a designed experience, where the relational and emotional component gains weight over the purely transactional.

Training with a focus on innovation and experience design
Another of the pillars of IMEX Frankfurt is its powerful educational program, with more than 200 free sessions including seminars, workshops and specialized forums.
This year’s content will once again focus on some of the major conversations that are setting the industry’s agenda. Technology applied to events, experiential marketing, sustainability, experience design, innovation in formats and new engagement methodologies are part of the thematic core of the program.
The focus on people and planet will also play an important role, a line that confirms how sustainability and social impact continue to consolidate as structural variables in the strategy of international events.

A reflection of where the global industry is headed
Beyond its figures, IMEX Frankfurt has become a privileged observatory to detect where the sector is evolving.
The growing presence of technology providers, the increasing weight of experiential design within educational programming and the commitment to more emotional networking formats reflect an industry that seeks more human, measurable and experiential events.
In a context where the pressure on ROI coexists with the need to create memorable experiences, IMEX Frankfurt is once again positioning itself as the space where business, innovation and community meet to anticipate the future of the industry.
