Lloret: from holiday tourism to events

The Lloret Convention Bureau was born years ago with the aim of transforming an awesome vacation destination into an event destination. A real challenge for which, besides its has 30,000 hotel rooms (of which 6,000 are in 4 and 5 stars hotels) and two convention centers.

Under the theme “meeting point on the Costa Brava”, the project grew out of the demand for various hotels and meeting spaces and services for conferences “join forces” to seasonally adjust and claim the value of its natural and architectural heritage culture.

And it works …

In 2013 the town hosted over 150 conferences, conventions and corporate events with a total of over 20,000 delegates. During the first half of 2014 has hosted conventions of international brands such as law firm Bird & Bird, fate brought more than 50 lawyers, meetings or dermo-cosmetic brands Avene and Nivea.

Furthermore, Lloret has managed to position itself as a destination for congresses and conventions of specific groups with no particular connection to the town but very varied and some real size.

Since veterinary specialists conventions to line dance, a type of hobby that may seem anecdotal but moves thousands of fans every year- motor enthusiasts, political conventions or LGBT groups or crazy fot maths; captures the town for years many great quotes that concentrate here off season and also tend to repeat.
