The Iberian Congress of the association carries on its route towards innovation and fresher formats. This time, the selected city to host this gathering of (mostly) Spanish and Iberian congress professionals will be Granada, which is on a roll after hosting MPI’s European conference as well as APCE’s national congress last year. And more than meeting design (which was applied in ICCA's 2016 Iberian confress in Marbella and ICCA's 2017 Iberian Congress in Funchal), what stands out this year is emotion, and concretely… love! Which is all you need, as we all know.

The communication starts on the congress website with a big blinking heart, inviting you to “click me” (we fell for it, we must confess, and the call to action worked). “There is love, there is life” is the motto of the event. Following the current trend of authentic local experiences, the event starts with a “Hammam experience” (which the organisers recommend “in order to prepare your body and your spirit for the rest of the event and get into the Granada history, magic and mystic experience”), quite surprising for a professional event. After this optional start, the programme will take place in unusual venues of Granada, and will including “walking and working in places that will make us dive into the history and heritage of the destination”.

Speakers will include tenor José Manuel Zapata talking about his art and what professionals can derive from this discipline, Almudena de la Mata  talking about business with social values, or Pier Paolo Mariotti, on “passion and love as assets in the meetings industry”. But faithful to its tradition, ICCA will include plenty of co-working to get people to share and learn from each other, for instance with the sesión “co-creating our future”. A session on using the ICCA database is another point on the agenda. And of course, a flamenco show will be part of the highly local gala dinner…

So all you need is love… and a bit of crowdsourcing. An interesting concept for this event. 11th to 13 of April in Granada. Grupo eventoplus will be there!
