What is ‘NetZero Events’, the international commitment of the MICE industry? What do ChatGPT and artificial intelligence for events mean? Companies still far from defining sustainability targets in MICE
Learning and development specialists Altyerre launch this event mixing group motivation and CSR. The Pickle Project is about giving people the chance to experience new cultures, visit new places, to meet local people and to create a food brand, a pickle, to sell on for the benefit of others.

The one day event includes an urban tour of the area, an interactive Bengali banquet introducing the distinctive flavours of Bangladeshi cooking, behind-the-scenes access to a restaurant kitchen and a series of hands-on workshops with local experts.

The attendees choose their own pickle recipe, buy the ingredients locally, develop the brand and design the label, prepare the sales plan and manufacture a sample batch. Their recipe then goes into full production which they then sell on to raise money. The first project is on Brick Lane, East London. The Pickle Project was launched in February 2010.
