Spanish newspaper El Mundo celebrates its 20 years of life

The gala of celebration of the first two decades of this newspaper brought together about 4,000 people in the Palacio de Deportes de Madrid. Organised by Last Lap, the event was broadcast on Channel 7 and on the portal VEO elmundo.es. Politicians (Zapatero and Rajoy included), communicators, entrepreneurs, athletes and cultural figures attended the show.
Projected on large screens surrounding the stage and creating a 360º effect, there were direct connections with the astronaut commander of the European Space Station, the Colombian president, the president of the European Commission in Brussels and with the responsible of the new digital edition elmundo.es in America as well as with colleagues in New York, Moscow, Bangkok and Perito Moreno (Argentina). The newspaper will include a new headboard, including the (.es), “a sign of unity between the paper and the new digital age.”
