 It is already a must in the marketing world. The National Marketing Awards, created by the Spanish Marketing Association, got 488 applications this year, establishing itself as a key industry moment. The ceremony took place on the 23rd may at the Hippodrome de la Zarzuela in Madrid. The concept: art.

This fifth edition was a large gathering of marketing, as well as event, professionals, with a total of 800 attendees. A number of brands took this opportunity.

From the event sector, we could say SCP, which produced the event with a stage on which stood an original cut-out shaped videowall; Mónico offered an impeccable catering; PortAventura sponsored the lunch of the jury. And several companies provided, or staged, their services. Workout for the event staff; Ticketea for ticketing, and Powervote which was used by the jury during the voting event.

Although the duration (over 2 hours) made it a longish entry (speeches, acknowledgments, explanation of the winners …), it was still a communication event, with an interesting concept: art, which was applied with a parallel between art and marketing and an identification of almost every category related to an art.

Thanks, speeches, and moments of excitement as when representatives of the Theodora Foundation (awarded) entered the room and reminded their cause to all.

After the presentation, attendees were treated to a horse race at the track, before a networking session during dinner cocktail.

An especially successful point was the gin and tonic bar, besieged from beginning to end.

The classics still work… Grass Roots, sponsor, created The Big Bet Grass Roots, a performance in a pure English style in which a histrionic style MC directed his assistants to move the audience to the website developed for the event where they could redeem their award.

The idea: to present and implement one of their businesses: promotional marketing.

An action that was completed with a full staging: costume, characterization, production music and graphic and visual. All very red and very very English, returning to the essence of British origin of the agency.

Another animation was to CallaoDigital, which allowed attendees to take a picture that would spread within minutes on your big screen from Plaza Callao (one minute of glory …).
