What is ‘NetZero Events’, the international commitment of the MICE industry? What do ChatGPT and artificial intelligence for events mean? Companies still far from defining sustainability targets in MICE
Is Tío Pepe a drink or a culture? Probably a bit of both. Following this idea, and with the current obsession of making events which embody a full experience, this Spanish culture icon launched its own festival of traditional arts of Andalusia. So, on August 14th was held in Bodega Gonzalez Byass Sherry, the first edition of Tío Pepe Festival, "The art of the Muses".

The objective: to position itself as an Andalusian icon, remind the whole culture behind its dry wine, and bring to life the possibilities of its spaces for events: all this was behind the idea of this Festival.

Three ingredients for this first edition: lyrical, flamenco and sherry, in the Gonzalez Byass Bodega in Jerez. The idea was to stimulate the senses combining music, song and dance, with the mystery and complexity of the wines of Jerez.

Three intimate concerts were held in Los Gigantes winery, the winery Apostles and Real Bodega de La Concha, before ending with a dinner in the gardens of Villa Victorina, with a final concert of the four artists.

How did artistic representations match the drinks? For example, in the Los Gigantes cellar, with its large windows and arches, performances by the singer and the dancer Rocío Márquez Leonor Leal were paired with a glass of Tiojito, a classic cocktail made with Tio Pepe Jerez, lemonade and mint. Another example: in the cellar The Apostles, soprano Ruth Rosillo and singer Rocío Márquez, sang birthplace of Federico García Lorca, Leo Browwe and Manuel de Falla, delicate songs which were paired with a glass of Viña AB Amontillado.
