Desalia 2018: the party disembarks in Alentejo

If last year the event changed format and the beaches of the Caribbean to take a Mediterranean cruise where to offer the Desalia experience on board, this year it seems that Ron Barceló continues with the strategy of surprising in the locations chosen for its great annual event. The sea and the paradisiacal landscape were once again present, but with a new location: an eco-resort surrounded by nature on the Costa Vicentina of the Portuguese Alentejo. Five days of celebration, 1,000 attendees - among participants, press, celebrities and influencers - in an event, increasingly oriented to the millennial public. We bring you here what the agency Auriga set up to fill the "Vive ahora" philosophy on the Alentejo coast.
Well, a mixture of communal living and fun, as the attendees were staying in one of the 200 villas of the resort, either in small lodges for two, four, six or eight people (the group party is always more fun) and around a lake and an 100 meters long outdoor pool. And this was one was the hot point of the resort where the program of animations was developed during the day: waterballs in the pool, a giant water slide, micro acrobatics performances, etc …
To prepare the ambiance for the Desalia party on the last night, the previous days themed parties are scheduled each day under the big tent of the resort. For example, for the first night a Glow Night was organized in which the attendees could get personalized looks thanks to the bodymarbling, creating marble textures on their skin with the help of the psychedelia of the fluorine colors. Another of the nights was set up a Wild, Wild Fest animal theme party, turning the tent into an authentic jungle of colors with performances featuring giant grasshoppers, lions, tigers or monkeys.
And the last night arrived in Alentejo to celebrate the legendary white night of Desalia. With an open-air stage with the natural park as background, performances, animations and workshops were alternated to prepare the nightfall and the performances of the main artists. For example, they could decorate their hair with floral arrangements, get tattoos or paint their hair to get ready for the party. All this surrounded by acrobatic performances introducing a laser show inside the tent before pulling off the headliners on the main stage.
