What is ‘NetZero Events’, the international commitment of the MICE industry? What do ChatGPT and artificial intelligence for events mean? Companies still far from defining sustainability targets in MICE
The luxury yacht firm chose Culdesac and Valencia to set the future as a brand at its annual internal convention. 200 managers and distributors around the world came to the city of Turia to learn about the new horizons that the company has. And to sail this future, nothing like having the immensity of the Mediterranean as the protagonist in almost all the key moments of the event. From the Marina of Valencia where some models of the brand were moored, until the work sessions at the Balneario Las Arenas hotel, they had the sea as the protagonist.

The creative concept for this special Heads of Business revolved around the new horizons opened by the Mediterranean Sea, evoking the moment the company is facing. To do this, it was thought to integrate one of the great attractions of the city, its sea, into the event. The Marina of Valencia served as the exhibition area for the yachts and the brand new R35, the new model launched on the market with which the company wants to sail the horizons of the future of the brand.

The welcome dinner at the La Sucursal restaurant in Veles e Vents was also marked by nautical aesthetics, not only because of its location, but also because of the unique architecture of the building, which together with the lighting used at night, recreated the deck of a ship. For the gala dinner on the last night, the marine world was also present, setting up the event at the Palau de Les Arts, a night that was enlivened by a contemporary dance show with a very Mediterranean touch. In order not to lose the sailors’ airs, even the hostesses who attended during the work sessions at the Las Arenas hotel were uniformed like the usual crew of a boat.

More inland, there was time to dedicate a day of teambuilding through the old town of Valencia. The goal was for the 200 guests from different countries to get to know each other and strengthen ties while diving into the Valencian culture and traditions. They could enjoy a lunch with Valencian horchata, racing competitions with giant balls, try on a tangram or practicing jugger (a discipline that combines rugby and fencing) or a fun memory game with photographs of the city.
