Held last March 20th at the Wanda Metroplitan in Madrid, the day began with a surprise welcome by C2, the robot of Trackter. Upon arrival, participants were also blindfolded and led through the walkway to the plenary room to kickstart the event. This not only generated a sense of mystery at the start of the event but also act as an ice-breaker and a vote of confidence to trust the staff. The plenary room was designed as an open space decorated with different types of furniture that gave a relax and informal atmosphere. A make-up and photography corner was also set up by courtesy of Jesús Antón, along with simulators and arcade games that generated happy memories and moments. The presenter Sergi Grimau, also helped to keep the participants on “ON” mode with his energy and fun and interactive games.
Happy meetings and also social responsability
Engaging in CSR actions gives happiness and satisfaction. MIS invited several NGOs to participate in the event to also give access to meeting planners NGOs whom they can also collaborate with: Grupo Amás who helps people with intellectual disabilities, Fundación Roncalli Foundation who works on the social and labor integration of people with disabilities; FIEB foundation for the protection of nature and conservation of wildlife; and Abrazo Animal who works to protect domestic animals and drive awareness of animal adoption. Abrazo Animal brought some of their furry friends who were showcased in a fun presentation. This initiative not only brought out the affectionate side of the participants but also helped to facilitate conversations.
New in this edition…
MIS created an area that featured venues and hotel, sponsored by the new magazine EXPLORE, which is published by Grupo eventoplus. International destinations looking to entice meeting planners were also present: France (Partner country 2019), Portugal, Scotland and Israel and Peru along with 17 other Spanish cities.
