Palau de Congresos de Barcelona

The Barcelona Convention Centre has positioned itself as the venue of choice for international companies and associations that need a central, spacious and versatile space to hold their meetings in Barcelona. The 1,609-seat Auditorium, 5,500m2 of multi-purpose space, 10 parallel rooms and an impressive terrace with privileged views of the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc are the highlights of this historic venue.

The original building was created for the Barcelona Universal Exhibition in 1929 and housed the Projection Palace. In the 1960s, it became the Palace of Nations and in the 1990s it was remodelled to become the Barcelona Conference Centre. In 1992 it was home to the Olympic Press Centre and during the reconstruction of the Gran Teatre del Liceu in the late 1990s, the Barcelona Conference Centre hosted major operas.

One of its most prized characteristics is its location, as, apart from being in the centre, it is in one of the most emblematic areas of the city, surrounded by the National Palace, the Alfonso XIII and Victoria Eugenia Palaces, the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion and the Arenas.
