Alting has signed a lease with Hidden Hotels for Passeig de Gràcia 29-31 in preparation for the opening of its first five-star hotel, in the Quadrat d'Or building on Barcelona's Passeig de Gràcia, with interior design by Jean Porsche.

Very close to Casa Batlló and Casa Ametller, the building was built in the 1880s and is listed as a protected heritage site by the Barcelona City Council. It will have approximately 6,000 m² distributed over six floors topped by a rooftop terrace, which will complete the restaurant on the second floor with access to a large private garden terrace.

The choice of Hidden Hotels as operator recognizes the brand’s philosophy, based on architectural recovery, handcrafted luxury, high quality customer service and local expertise. The interior design of the future hotel will be by architect and interior designer Jean Porsche, and is intended to be a reference to Barcelona’s textile world, its rise and the growth of the private clubs of the time.
