What is ‘NetZero Events’, the international commitment of the MICE industry? What do ChatGPT and artificial intelligence for events mean? Companies still far from defining sustainability targets in MICE
As expected, the most popular categories for this 11th edition of the competition proved to be the virtual and the hybrid ones, with most entries submitted for Virtual Event, Online Conference, Live Streaming Event, Virtual B2B Event, Hybrid Event, and Virtual Event Solution. This goes to further illustrate the shift in the industry towards online experiences, in light of the global pandemic. Eventex Awards 2021 beat its own previous record and received 561 entries from 37 countries. The US once again leads with 51 trophies, followed by the Netherlands with 33 and Russia with 29.  ¿Some in Spain? By Paula Rey

Awarded agencies

The agencies that won the most Eventex Awards 2021 trophies are: FUEL (Ireland) with 10 awards, WINK Creative Experiential Agency (the Netherlands) with 9 awards and Outreach Creative (UK) with 8 awards. 

Other agencies that won multiple awards include Qatar Vision Production Company (Qatar), Kenes Group (Switzerland), AIM Group (Italy), Partner of Events LLC (Russia), 12 o’clock Creative Concept Co (Taiwan), and Grupo Absolute (Spain).

Awarded brands

The brands to receive the most recognition are Samsung Electronics GmbH – 11 awards, Anheuser-Busch Inbev and The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy both with 7 awards, and Mercedes-Benz Taiwan Ltd, “Center for the Development of Cultural Initiatives” NPO, and EDP Group with 6 each. Other popular brands among the big Eventex Awards 2021 winners are YouTube, SAP, Rolls-Royce, Pernod Ricard, Puma, PayPal, IBM, Google, and the BBC.

The Grand Prix Best Live Event went to “SpaceBuzz: VR Education Programme for Children to create Ambassadors of planet Earth by SpaceBuzz & MediaMonks & The Others & Unbranded”. The Grand Prix Best Virtual Event & Experience was awarded to “The Uncensored Library by DDB Germany & MediaMonks”.
