Ballantine´s Urban Freestyle, the sports event that opens the new snow season and is part of the international trial circuit to the Big Jump in Europe, took place at the Fira de Barcelona on the 17th and 18th of November.

For the event, Ballantine’s constructed a metal ramp structure of 22m height, 80m length and with a leap that reaches 8m high. 400 tonnes of snow were also produced for the occasion.

At the Fira de Barcelona, also present were the presenters of the weather forecast from different TV channels, whom for the occasion, were all in agreement of the perfect conditions to enjoy the snow in Barcelona. There were also personalities like David Meca, Alvaro Bulto or Elsa Anka.

The season of snow has more to offer including the second edition of the Ballantine’s Snowboard Design Project, is a contest that rewards originality and design on snowboards, and will end on March 2007, and the creation of the Community Go Snow.

Over the two nights in Barcelona, Ballantine’s parties were also held in clubs such as Sutton-The Club and Otto Zutz to enjoy the whiskey.
