The Bilbao trade show arena signed a deal with non-for-profit company Ecoembes to improve its selective collection. According to the centre, 95% of garbage generation takes place during set-up and tear-down and only 5% in the event itself.

With this deal, the current system of collection of paper and carton will be completed with another one for plastic and metal. The company hopes to recycle 690 tons of garbage every year. According to the trade show ground, tear-down generates 75% of garbage, versus 20% for set-up and 5% only for the event itself.
