The eighth edition of BED (Barcelona Event Day) was the meeting point for the meeting professionals community in Barcelona. The workshop + conference was held on Tuesday, July 8th, at the newly opened SLS Barcelona hotel.

BED is designed to grow and connect the meeting professionals community. Under the slogan ‘Infinity from within’, a theme inspired to communicate the immense opportunities for business connections and graphically represented by turning the number 8 of the eighth edition to the symbol of infinity ∞, composed by human figures. Almost 400 suppliers of event services and buyers from agencies, companies and associations shared a day in a dynamic environment: meetings, educational sessions, activities and experiences such as a coffee break with live music brought to the event by the sponsor, Hard Rock Café Barcelona.

A day of endless collaborations and business opportunities…

BED 2025 has once again confirmed its strength in fostering relationships and business: 396 participants, 122 supplier companies, 1,512 scheduled meetings, 3,137 contacts scanned by the app, 7,475 messages sent and 6,498 interactions. In this edition, we introduced a Group Chat channel where participants could share their comments, photos and information on the app.

*Figures as of the date of publication of this article. The app will remain open until July 31st where participants can still interact with each other.

And learning from leading experts

Events are a world that touches on many different areas. In this edition, participants had the chance to learn about topics on human behaviour: to understand and how to build impact in the experiences.

‘Emotions, motivation and magic: how to measure the intangible’ is a session brought by the EMA association, with the participation of Miguel Sánchez from Volkswagen Group Spain Distribution; Raimond Torrents from the Event Management Institute; and Edgar Sanjuán from Emogg. Before the event closed, Xavi Tribó from Melt Creative and Axel Gasulla from Domestic Data Streamers shared concrete case studies on ‘Impactful technological experiences: How to combine humanity and creativity with the power of technology.’ This was fascinating content that we will be elaborating in detail in upcoming articles.

To the great work by the meeting professionals community… thank you!

The BED was supported by Hard Rock Cafe Barcelona as a sponsor, and the already iconic red bed photocall was sponsored by Port Olímpic – BSM and Costa Daurada Convention Bureau.

The event’s partners were SLS Barcelona as the host hotel, Meetmaps for the registration platform and app, Staff 4 Events for its staff, IDS & Atrezza for the furniture, Events & Technology for all the AV equipment, and Mi Cámara Rusa by Gary Manrique, who captured the event in photos and video, as well as the support of the main associations in the sector.
