The Barcelona International Convention Centre (CCIB) will open for corporate and associate events in November. Home to the Forum for Cultures until late September, the state-of-the-art centre is a 67,000-square metre building offering the capacity to hold congresses of up to 15,000 people. The CCIB auditorium, with a capacity for 3,200 people, is connected to the main building by a 20-metre-wide underground walkway. There are 2,500 hotel rooms within a radius of 600 metres from the centre.

Located on the seashore in the Diagonal Mar area, the CCIB is operated by the French company, GL Events (formerly Générale Location), which operates congress centres in France.
