The International Centre of Conventions of Barcelona, CCIB, will host the Association of Corporate Travel Executives World Conference in October 2006. The aim of the meeting is to gather business travel experts and executives from all over the world, to debate diverse issues of the sector, such as legislation, security, data protection, business strategies and technology, among others.

The ACTE is a nonprofit association, founded in 1988 by business travel experts, which includes more than 2,500 executives from 40 countries with the aim to offer training and development to business travel professionals. For this reason, the ACTE organises annually, world conferences and forums to bring their members together to exchange information and opinions about the sector.

The CCIB, managed by GL events CCIB SL, opened a year ago. Since then, the centre has hosted different events, such as the presentation of the new Nissan models, the European Film Award ceremony or the IBM convention.
