The President of the Executive Committee of Turismo de Barcelona, Joan Gaspart, has said that EIBTM, the international show for Meetings, Congresses and Incentives, have doubled its exhibition space until 11.000 square metres, for holding it in Barcelona. In declarations to EFE, Gaspart has signaled that Barcelona has been able to offer the largest capacity of square metres and hotel rooms, in addition to the attractions of the city.

EIBTM is held from today (30/11/04) to the 2nd of December in Montjuic 2, and will be officially opened by the King. Gaspart highlighted the importance that it has after fifteen years in Gevena, Barcelona was selected to be the venues from 2004 to 2008. According to Gaspart, having the show in Barcelona will help the city to get new congresses and conventions, and that EIBTM will bring together representatives of more than 10 countries and with the attendance of more than 5,000 visitors.
