As a complement to the annual meeting of the Spain Convention Bureau, Gijon will host the first edition of the international seminar on Meetings, which will take place from March 21st-23rd, prior to the general assembly of the SCB.

The event will analyse different topics such as new trends, the recent evolution of the international market, the role of congress offices and the economic impact of the meetings, among others, through different presentations and round table sessions.

The first conference will be presented by Rob Davidson, expert in tourism and business travel from the London Westminster University, and specialist in the congress sector and the commercialisation of destinations.

Other participants include Felix Larrosa, General Director of Turespaña, and Eric Mottard, Partner and Director of Grupo eventoplus, who will chair a round table session on the evolution of the demand on meetings and new the trends in the sector.
