Hilton Barcelona will be more focused on MICE. The hotel is prioritizing the experience of its corporate guests through a renovation inspired by Barcelona’s creative spirit. The project, led by Teresa Sapey + Partners, transforms the hotel’s spaces to meet the MICE segment’s new demands for functionality and flexibility.

Hilton Barcelona is taking a step forward with this transformation, which enhances the integration of its spaces and services into a single offering designed to efficiently meet the needs of corporate clients. The goal is to create an experience that facilitates the organization and execution of next-generation meetings, conventions, and events.

Located in the upper section of Av. Diagonal, its 18 meeting rooms, 290 guest rooms and suites, movie theater, terraces, and in-house “km0” culinary offerings make it possible to host all phases of an event in a single setting, streamlining event operations. In a step forward for its MICE clients, Hilton Barcelona has collaborated with Teresa Sapey + Partners on a project that goes beyond aesthetics to maximize the impact of the space.

Here’s an example: the meeting rooms are organized around two creative concepts: “Constellations,” inspired by Barcelona’s night sky and designed to foster concentration, creativity, and the connection between ideas; and “Catalan Landscapes,” which reinterprets Catalonia’s natural and cultural character through the choice of materials used in its design.

This vision isn’t limited to meeting spaces; it extends throughout the entire hotel, where the goal is to create an experience centered on gathering and connecting—such as, for example, La Verbena restaurant, designed as a gathering and networking spot, or the Salvia terrace, which offers a versatile setting for outdoor events and presentations. The main entrance has also been redesigned under the “Oasis on Avenida Diagonal” concept, incorporating greenery and natural light to redefine the experience from the moment guests arrive. The journey continues through the open lobby and culminates in the guest rooms, under the “El Cielo de Barcelona” concept. The idea is to go far beyond simply providing accommodations for its MICE audience, creating a comprehensive experience throughout their stay.
