IBTM World is gearing up for its 'smartest' event to date with the launch of new technology designed to elevate the attendee experience and create better business outcomes. The world's leading trade show, which will once again take place at Fira de Barcelona from 28-30 November, has optimised its matchmaking platform to include a new wayfinding tool, WalkMe. This new tool, which enhances exhibitors' ability to find and request appointments with key buyers, has been designed to accompany exhibitors through every step of the preference selection process.

Hosted buyers will also have access to the matchmaking platform for the first time at this year’s show, meaning they too will be able to schedule meetings with exhibitors in advance of the show. In addition, exhibitors and buyers, as well as visitors, will be able to synchronise their diaries with the official IBTM World mobile app for easy diary management. Visiting buyers must register by 31 October to access pre-scheduled appointments.

IBTM World has also launched an Exhibitor Dashboard for its 2023 edition, which allows exhibitors to measure their return on investment at a glance. This innovative tool allows exhibitors to see in real time how many visitors and buyers are viewing their profile at the event, as well as how many contacts they have gathered in total during the show using the app Emperia.

To streamline the visitor registration process, IBTM World is also working with a new registration provider, Iceni Event Solutions, for its 2023 event. In addition to registration, Iceni will also be launching its new automated Certification Tool, which will track each visitor and buyer’s session attendance and provide them with a complete overview of their progress after the event.
