What is ‘NetZero Events’, the international commitment of the MICE industry? What do ChatGPT and artificial intelligence for events mean? Companies still far from defining sustainability targets in MICE
The association organised a working breakfast at the Melia Castilla Hotel to discuss how to improve proposals and presentations to clients. Representatives from Cisco, DraftFCB and eventoplus provided advice respectively as client, agency and organiser of the eventoplus awards .

With the title “are we doing it right in our presentations ?”, the Madrid PCO association organised on February 4 a breakfast meeting with their members to answer this and other questions related to the image one conveys. A successful topic: the Melia Castilla room was full.

Carla Luca de Tena, Marketing Manager for Spain and Portugal of CISCO, explained what customers expect in a proposal. Examples? An adaptation to the target seems obvious but, as noted, often is missing (do not talk about your B2C experience to a B2B customer…).

Help in tracking ROI is essential for this company that uses events , among others, to attract new leads or accelerate closing of deals. And help in contacting companies can collaborate on the same event – a way to make a more attractive event and to save costs, always tight.

Pedro Soler, Executive Creative Director at DRAFT FCB shared several videos of their most creative work. He reminded the benefits of video, a concise format (he recommends 1-2 minutes, not more), closed and therefore not subject to change, visual.

According to him, you have to work with video in mind throughout the process – preparing the event is like thinking about what will come out in the video, and making it happen. Another important message is the importance of emotion, both at the event and in what you present to customers.

Finally Eric Mottard, Director General of eventoplus Group, gave some clues about how to develop an application for an award. Go to the essential (rather than “fill all possible content,” check the correctness of the spelling and design (obvious? You´d be surprised), think about what images communicate and think beyond production or aesthetics, about the sense of the action, its utility, ideally following a problem-solution format.
