Alberto Ruíz-Gallardón, mayor of Madrid, put the first stone of the Centro Internacional de Convenciones de Madrid (CICCM) on the 25th of November.

The aim of this third congress centre of the Spanish capital is to attract to Madrid more international congresses. The building will feature three auditoriums, one with capacity for 6.300 pax and two for 1.500 pax. It will also offer great views of the city.The building is located near the four new skyscrapers of the Castellana avenue and will have a cylindrical form.
