The plan is ambitions. Keeping it simple, the Meeting Support Institute, created and headed by Maarten Vanneste, aims to put back in the centre of the organisation process the strategic objectives of meetings: communicating, educating, networking, motivating... in an industry which tends to dedicate all its talent and resources to hotel selection and gala dinner preparation.
The MSI will be very active in EIBTM (partner of this iniciative) to make some noise and give professionals an opportunity to know how our industry can move towards a more strategic way of organising an event.
The MSI will participate in eight activities: keynote presentation, roundtables and debates, and a specific dinner. And an interesting detail: the MSI will offer a bookstore with useful titles for meeting planners: meeting facilitation, managing large audiences, turning learning into action, etc. The MSI will also have a stand at the fair, a good opportunity to know this initiative.
