The session, organised Turing EIBTM, aimed to understand better this essential component of the meetings and events industry. Here are the main conclusions.
Associations are getting more professional, and increasingly have their own congress department, which enables better quality, higher profitability, and avoid loss of information which happens when an association changes PCO. Logigally, in this context, long-term deals between associations and PCOs are a solution. The congress industry is entering difficult moments, due to lower budgets by pharma companies and tougher regulations by the public administration.
