Open Barri is possibly one of the most suggestive experiences proposed by the organization of Barcelona World Architecture Capital. It is not a one-time event, but a series of experiences that take place throughout these months in the corners of Barcelona that will reveal unexpected and surprising neighborhoods and spaces.

We are talking a lot about the world capital of architecture in Barcelona, but it is not for less considering the opportunity, in addition to the pleasure, to immerse yourself in the differential element of any experience: the environment and space.

In this sense, if in addition to being an event organizer you are a passionate flâneur, you will be interested in Open Barri, one of the most interesting and less touristy activities of the event. It is about letting yourself be guided through a program of routes and activities beyond the center of Barcelona to get to know everyday architecture, social projects, industrial, urban and cultural buildings. This gives you access to spaces not intended for events, usually closed, such as heritage buildings not commercially exploited or transformable public facilities, which can be a great surprise and perhaps an unexpected scounting.

The fun of signing up for Open Barri as an organizer goes beyond the architecture itself: it is to soak up the personality of a Barcelona that almost no one sees. The routes combine the real and cultural life of the neighborhoods, which will allow you to get to know really unusual environments that can be a source of inspiration.

One of the projects is Hidden Spaces. Open Barrio de invierno, in which they will open a series of little-known places that only reveal their value when they are explored calmly. These are small-format spaces that require an attentive eye and small groups to appreciate their uniqueness.
