Gijon will play host during the days of 11, 12 and 13 of June, to the participants of the Quetzal Route of the year 89.

This promotion brought together 400 youths from all of Spain and 400 from Latin America was reproduced in the third said trip of Christopher Columbus from Cadiz to the Dominica Republic.

The objective of this trip was the brotherhood of both cultures and from this fraternisation, these meetings were created and held every year in different cities in Spain, an initiative of the participants.

Now, 15 years after, some twenty of these adventurers who came from different parts of Spain and Latin American will get together in Gijon with a tight activity program: a guided visit to the city by Infogijon, the municipal service of tourism information, with the possibility to make an excursion in a boar via the Nautical Station â
