Continuing along the progress line in the quality of facilities and services of the congress halls, the Association has promoted among its members, the Quality Q certification through the Spanish institute for quality, Instituto para la Calidad Turistica Española, which for the first time in history, extends this accreditation to congress halls.
The main objective is to increase the confidence of the congresses business as well as the prestige of the entity that it manages. The search of the differentiation of the meeting destination in Spain was one of the main themes discussed in the I APCE Congress, whose second edition will take place on the 16th and 17th of December in La Coruna.
Currently, more than a third of the associated congress halls is in the implementation phase of the Quality Q regulations, through documents that establish the requirements for the different services offered by the entities, whose achievement is a condition for the certification through the Marca de Calidad Turistica Española.
According to Jose Salinas, General Director of the Palacio de Congresos de Valencia and the President of APCE: “we need to continue to advance in the quality concept, quality of the facilities and the services offered, quality in the joint promotion, quality in the training of our professionals, quality in the communication. Quality is the key to keep growing”.
