The countdown begins for the Eventex Connect that will be held from June 10th to 11th in an online format. Hosted by Eventex, this online trade show aims to connect event professionals with suppliers who can help them organise hybrid or virtual events. How will it work? Through a platform that can host b2b meetings, interactive discussions, webinars... Now that hybrid and virtual events are booming, it is necessary to find the most suitable platforms... why not put this June appointment on the calendar? By Paula Rey

 

In addition to find out who are the Eventex Awards 2020 winners (link), including the BMW Vision iNEXT World Flight (link) event with a cargo plane, “Eventex Connect is our way of helping in this transition period by giving a unique opportunity for event companies to do business globally and grow despite the crisis,” says Ovanes Ovanessian, co-founder of Eventex.

What does this show offer?

As the first edition of Eventex Connect more than 100 providers are expected, and this means that you can find more than 100 solutions for virtual or hybrid events. B2b matchmaking is the main focus of the trade show: “the whole idea is for them to connect and meet in the easiest, fastest and most productive way possible”. There is the possibility of scheduling meetings in advance and creating an agenda of appointments to make every minute productive.

More than 30 interactive sessions and webinars on everything to do with virtual events are also planned. “It will cover how to pivot to virtual, tips on organising great virtual events, how and what tools can help us do that… The sessions will be live, interactive and exclusive…” Some of the topics are: The Broadcast, But Not As You Know It: How To Maximise The Phygital Format For Maximum Engagement by Scott Cullather, Invnt; Virtual Meetings: Beyond The Content by Natalie Crampton, TEC Worldwide; or  Creating Attendee Engagement During Virtual Events by Juraj Holub, Slido.

An opportunity for virtual or hybrid events

Eventex considers that it is the crucial moment where “event organisers need to adapt, learn the ins-and-outs, and find the right suppliers to help them craft the perfect virtual event because virtual events are the new norm at the moment and will become increasingly more prevalent even after the pandemic”. The fair format itself reflects Eventex’s confidence in the virtual format and all its possible advantages. The show organiser hopes to have 2,000 buyers and we wish them all the best!
