What is ‘NetZero Events’, the international commitment of the MICE industry? What do ChatGPT and artificial intelligence for events mean? Companies still far from defining sustainability targets in MICE
bcnKITCHEN is a new space located in the Born district of Barcelona. The facility aims to create new links between participants through cooking workshops for groups, with a warm and casual touch.

The idea comes from Monica Lopez and Daniel Jimenez a couple, a lawyer and engineer respectively, both foodies.

They noticed that the workshops generally lacked a social part, to give the meeting a warm touch as if it were a home night, with wine, old friends and good food.

With this idea they created bcnKITCHEN, a new space that offers participatory culinary courses for private events, parties or team building.

Cooking Party & Team Building

The Cooking Party changes the idea of going out to have a dinner, into a new concept of workshop. Thus, dinner becomes a leisure activity for events.

More company-focused, the team building activities make gastronomy the link between employees who, besides having a good time, enhance their team cohesion, organization and leadership…

Courses range from creative tapas and pintxos to risotto classes, from buying and cooking with the chef (an activity in which participants go to the market to buy the ingredients to be cooked later) to thai cuisine and sushi-making. The number of attendees can vary from 10 to 40.

bcnKITCHEN also performs combined activities for groups of 40-60 pax.

How? While part of the group performes a cooking workshop in the space, the other half enjoys a wine tasting or a visit to the market, subsequently exchanging the groups.

Finally, if the group exceeds 60 people, the team of chefs can move to the location of the event, starting there their cooking workshop.
