In a time when a smart person with a cell phone and a lot of talent for sales can present himself as a great event planner, training and the definition of professional profiles as the establishment of certifications become more important components of the events sector every time. In this sense, the latest initiative of the French Association of Event Agencies (ANAé) is quite interesting.

Rememebring that “one of the main objectives of the ANAé is to group together in shared values and own scopes the world of event organisation, which includes a great variety of knowledge”, the Association has presented new initiatives in the training field.

The ANAé presents what they call the “Référentiel métiers”, a detailed definition of professional profiles in the event market. From this common base, the Association has designed a continuous training programme so that each structure can improve their knowledge of their collaborators and free-lance, as of their own clients.

The ANAé’s “continuous training” comission has conceived 5 modules of 1 to 2 days, especially destined for project, production, technical and assistant directors, as for artistic directors and their assistants. These modules will be imparted in September 2005.

With the aim to ensure the ethics and guarantee the quality of the training and to offer the variety necessary, the trainers will be selected “out” of the ANAé, under professional quality criteria.

According to the Association, “this collective initiative shows the ANAé’s will to always offer advertisers the best quality, advising and professionalism.”
