What is ‘NetZero Events’, the international commitment of the MICE industry? What do ChatGPT and artificial intelligence for events mean? Companies still far from defining sustainability targets in MICE
Big sporting events, like the Olympics, have become the perfect excuse for an extreme makeover to any destination. The reason is simple; the further investment is reflected in the improvement of event venues, hotels, services and communication. Like in Brazil with the Olympics or Canada with the Winter Games, Scotland joins this list with the Commonwealth Games 2014.

Here are a few examples:

The Scottish National Arena, designed by architect Norman Foster, will be built by Clyde River and will be part of the Scottish Exhibtion and Conference Centre (SECC). It will have a capacity for 12.500 pax.

Hotels are getting ready: The city expects a 4% increase of tourists. The Bothwell Plaza Complex is scheduled to open in 2011 (320 rooms). And the Jumeirah hotel chain will also open a new hotel in Glasgow, which will cost 156 million Euros and will become one of the most luxurious hotels across Britain. It will have 160 rooms. The airport terminal has been restructured. And a great detail for business travellers: there is no need to get computers out of the bags when passing through security control.
