The Fitur Congresos 2006 will inform international buyers about the Spanish meeting market

The seventh edition of the Meetings and Incentive Travel Workshop, which will be held the 23rd and 24th January 2006 in the Feria de Madrid facilities, will offer international buyers a programme of visits around different Spanish provinces to present the Spanish meeting market.
The Pretours Programme, which will take place between 20-22 January, offers the international buyers invited the possibility to contact first hand part of the products and services on show through the fair’s Pre-tours Programme as well as to get to know their tourist attractions. This year, the Pretours includes visits to sites in Madrid, Alicante, Cuenca, Extremadura, Galicia, Granada, Lanzarote, La Rioja, Pamplona and Navarre.
The Madrid Convention Bureau- Madrid Tourist Board and the Madrid Tourist Consortium have organised a tour around the capital city, which starts in the Palace and the Gardens in Aranjuez and includes visits to the Thyssen Museum, El Escorial, the Retiro Park and Hapsburg Madrid, among others, and ends with a dinner and a musical show in Calle 54. Other activities of the Pretours include antique cars rally in Alicante with a visit to some of the province’s castles, the National Roman Art Museum in Merida (Extremadura), a visit around the historic area of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, and many other activities in each of the provinces in the tour.
Fitur Congresos 2006 will also include guided tours and social events, such as cultural and gastronomic visits to Madrid, or the closing dinner of Fitur Congresos, which will be held in the Museum.
